Princeton Announces EO710 Monitor With Sleek New Design
SAN FRANCISCO, October 23, 1997 - Princeton announced the release
of a premium EO Series of monitors with sleek ergonomic design;
finally bringing high style furniture to the desktop. "This new
design reduces desktop intrusion because it has the footprint of a
much smaller monitor," said Charlie Pai, Princeton's Product
Manager. Better yet, Princeton's inventive user controls,
convenient new auto setup feature, coupled with Windows 95" Plug
and Play compatibility, ensure s quick, easy installation, set up
and monitor adjustment. For help with troubleshooting
compatibility issues with a PC, video card and other peripherals,
this new design incorporates a diagnostic screen, which indicates
possible incompatible components to be replaced. Disconnecting the
monitor from the PC activates this feature, toggle the unit off,
then on again, and the automatic diagnostic screen appears to
guide the user to corrective action. The EO710 (15.95-inch
viewable) 17-inch monitor has an MSRP of $599.
EO710

maximum resolution, Princeton's new auto set and Windows 95" Plug
and Play compatibility, this monitor is more user friendly than
ever before.
The EO710 was specifically designed for Windows 95 Plug and Play
compatibility. With Princeton's innovative new auto setup feature,
the installation experience of the monitor is quick and easy and
the monitor adjustment of screen size, position, and geometry are
quick and easy requiring the touch of one single button. For
further screen setting customization, the EO710 features a PreVu"
on-screen display menu for any adjustment imaginable.
NEW CRT & ERGONOMIC DESIGN
The new EO710, ultra high resolution color monitor offers the
high-contrast, dark tinted, AART™ (Advanced Anti-Reflection
Technology coating) CRT with Invar shadow mask, PreVuTM Digital
Controls and ColorightTM Technology. Featuring Plug and Play
compatibility with Microsoft's Windows" 95 operating system, both
monitors are compatible with Apple" MacintoshTM and Sun"
SPARCStationTM systems with an adapter. Positioned as Princeton's
high-performance monitor, the new EO710 is TCO92 compliant and
target the corporate, personal and small office markets.
PreVuTM on-screen display for easy, user-friendly control
adjustments are featured with the EO710. Digital user controls

size, pincushion, trapezoid, rotation (tilt), V-moiré, H-moiré,
degauss and parallelogram. Advanced features include ColorightTM
Technology, a color temperature control with Red, Green and Blue
Gain adjustments and Advanced Screen Geometry Controls (trapezoid,

PLUG AND PLAY
The EO710 incorporates Plug and Play technology to support
Microsoft's Windows" 95 operating system and VESA"'s new
communication standard for the Display Data Channel (DDC1 and
DDC2b). Plug and Play is a communication tool that enables a
monitor to identify itself to the computer and automatically set
itself, when using a compatible video card, producing an optimal
match between the system's capabilities and the monitor's
performance. Custom setups are eliminated and resolution switching
is "on the fly" with Windows 95's user-friendly control panel.
ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND
The EO710 is environmentally sound and one of the first monitors
to meet TCO92 strict guidelines for ergonomic and electromagnetic
emissions, environmentally conscious in both the product and
during it's manufacturing process. The EO710 meets the EPA's
Energy StarSM program for power savings, SWEDAC MPR II guidelines
for low electromagnetic and static emissions, and they're
compatible with VESA"'s Display Power Management Signaling (DPMS`)
for power management.
