AGF700 First in a Series of Distortion-Free, Naturally-Flat
Displays
NEW YORK, June 27, 2000 – Princeton Digital (USA), Inc., a leading
manufacturer of computer and high-definition displays, introduces the
newest addition to its line of distortion-free, naturally-flat
DIAMONDTRON® NF monitors – the 17-inch (16-inch viewable) AGF700.
Combining state-of-the-art, flat-faced CRT technology with
uncompromising performance, the AGF700 is designed for a variety of
desktop applications.
Producing particularly natural-looking images for high-level graphics,
CAD/CAM/CAE, desktop publishing and Internet-based applications, the
$309 AGF700 offers a fine 0.25 mm stripe pitch, a 30 to 70 kHz
horizontal scanning range, and a 1024 x 768 @ 85 Hz recommended
resolution. In addition, the AGF700 features a 108 MHz video dot clock
to maintain image sharpness and clarity at the highest resolutions and
is conveniently positioned on a detachable tilt/swivel base, providing
users with ergonomic flexibility.
In addition to a high-contrast, anti-static, anti-reflective CRT
coating, which allows high-resolution images to retain their vibrancy
and clarity, the flat-faced design used in the AGF700 significantly
decreases the effects of ambient lighting, diminishing external
reflection and glare for reduced eyestrain and fatigue after prolonged
use.
"The remarkably flat images produced by this high-performance monitor
are irresistible," said William Wang, president. "In addition to the
benefits of a flat CRT, the AGF700 incorporates dynamic focus, which
improves corner focus and screen focus uniformity, especially in the
corners."
The AGF700 also features user-friendly microprocessor-based controls
that are accessible through Princeton’s PreVu™ on-screen display (OSD)
with intuitive Coloright™, which provides color balance control to
match the on-screen color to the printed output color.
The new unit is compatible with IBM“, UNIX“, Apple“ Macintosh“, Power
Macintosh“, Windows“, and high-resolution third-party graphics
standards and meets all major emission and power management standards,
including MPRII, EPA Energy Star®, and DPMS®. In addition, the monitor
is backed by a three-year parts, labor and CRT warranty.
